"In 1845, two ships the EREBUS and TERROR, led by sir John Franklin, set out to complete the charting of the Northwest Passage.   The 129 men aboard the two ships represented the best England could provide.
For ten years, nothing was heard from the expedition.  Worldwide, this was regarded as the greatest Arctic disaster of all time (much as if a manned spaceship were missing today)....Dr. Owen Beattie led an expedition to Beechey Island and exhumed the bodies of the three Franklin crew members....141 year old time capsules."

Subject: Great Video...been over 20 years since i watched this
I'm glad to finally find Buried in ice...I rember when it aired on pbs nova...too bad this isent on vhs/dvd,i would really like to add this one to my library.Thank you for posting this :)
